Manningtree Town Council Newly Replanted Flower Tubs

Manningtree Town Council Newly Replanted Flower Tubs

Sunday 22nd November 2020

Manningtree Town Council would like to thank Craft Nurseries for using peat-free compost and including some wildlife-friendly plants when planting up the town's tubs for the winter and spring displays. They can be planted on elsewhere in the town at the end of the winter season. Peat bogs hold massive amounts of carbon. As soon as peat is taken from the bog's saturated conditions and used in a garden, it starts to decay and release carbon dioxide. Using peat-free compost is a simple
step to take to help to slow down climate change. If enough people take that step we can make a difference.
